This is a good mid-range treadmill. For about $ 1499.99 you get a decent motor and chassis. However, the warranties are nothing to boast about.
Motor: The continuous duty motor in this model churns out a decent 2.5 HP. This gives enough speed for both runners as well as walkers. The maximum speed which can be attained with the motor is 12 mph. However, at this speed the motor becomes somewhat noisy. To avoid overheating the treadmill has been provided with cooling fans. They would keep the machinery as well as your body perfectly cooled for long durations.
Frame: The frame of this treadmill is a single-weld steel frame which has no jutting points or protruding nuts and bolts. This prevents injury to any part of the body. It has been given a powder-coating finish that gives it a sleek look. It can be electronically folded away for storage purposes. The combined weight of the chassis, motor, deck and electronics is 325 lbs.
Running Deck: With the help of one touch button the running deck can incline or decline to 12 per cent. This function is a bit slow though. Further, the deck is equipped with a belt that measures 55"X20". This belt is a heavy duty rubber belt.
Rollers: The rollers in this treadmill are 2.5" rollers which can tightly hold the running belt. Their big size is something which gives proper cushioning to the deck. Hence, the amount of wear and tear that the deck would undergo would be somewhat less.
Control Panel: The display panel in this treadmill is a ClearView 7"X10" matrix display unit. It provides you with almost every type of information which you need. This includes speed, distance, time, calories, pulse rate, and so on. It comes with the pulse grip feature. Among the optional features available is wireless telemetry.
Warranties: The warranties that come along this treadmill can disappoint many. The motor comes with a 12 year warranty. The different parts in the treadmill have a 2 year warranty attached to them whereas there is 1 year warranty on labor. As you can now see, the warranty is where other treadmill models from different companies can beat the Epic 600 MX quite easily.
Conclusion: All in all, the Epic 600 MX is a good treadmill. However, it is not a good enough package to attract customers. There are better options available in the market which are better equipped and come with loads of warranties. However, if you can get it at half price in a discount sale, then probably you can think of buying it. Otherwise, spending $ 1500 for this is not a wise decision to make.
